SMART Hub Showcases Research Progress in Arlington, Virginia
Arlington, VA – February 5, 2025 – The Hub for Spectrum Management with Adaptive and Reconfigurable Technology (SMART Hub) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its initial technology demonstration event held today in Arlington, Virginia. This milestone event highlighted the collaborative efforts and advancements achieved since its primary research began six months earlier.

Dr. Charles Baylis, Director of SMART Hub, emphasized, "The great work being done by SMART Hub’s 25 Research Professors at 15 universities across 13 states is driving significant advancements in spectrum innovation. Their dedication and expertise are key to solving complex national security challenges, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this critical research."
The demonstration featured a series of presentations and interactive sessions, showcasing cutting-edge research and technological developments aimed at addressing critical challenges in the wireless ecosystem, with a focus on defense and security. Key topics included advancements in artificial intelligence, adaptive circuits, radar, autonomous systems, cybersecurity and workforce development.

The event attracted a diverse audience, including representatives from government agencies, academic institutions, industry partners, and the media. Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with researchers, fostering discussions on potential applications and future collaborations.
