Modernizing our world’s use of spectrum is a long-term, broad-reaching, multifaceted, and multidisciplinary objective that can only be achieved through the joint innovation and effort of scientists, engineers, policy makers, economists, and more. As such, it is critical that tomorrow’s pioneers be trained and educated in matters of spectrum policy, resource use, and wireless technology. Therefore, we are committed to developing the best future spectrum workforce possible.
To date, we have established an undergraduate spectrum workshop training students on wireless communications, radar systems, spectrum policy, high-frequency circuity, and passive sensor systems, as well as a summer graduate fellows program launching in Summer 2024. If you are interested in attending the 2024 undergraduate spectrum workshop (June 3-6 at Baylor University), please register here.
If you would like to suggest or host a workforce development event through SMART Hub, please contact our Director at Charles_Baylis@baylor.edu.
